GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman University director of athletics Mike Buddie announced today the hiring of Carly Rose as the department's assistant director of creative services.
"I am really grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working with the marketing department in expanding the Paladins' creative content," said Rose.
Rose has spent the past three years working in the New York Yankees organization as a production assistant, where she helped script and edit video features, managed in-game features to increase fan engagement, logged game footage from a variety of feeds, and created various other content for stadium events and social media.
In her new position at Furman she will handle the department's creative video projects, as well as design, create, and implement video board content at athletic venues. She will also assist as needed on live broadcasts for ESPN3 and the SoCon Digital Network.
A 2015 graduate of Clemson with a B.A. degree in sports communications, Rose worked as an intern in the Tiger's athletic video services department for four years as an undergraduate and completed an internship with the New York Mets' video and scoreboard production department in the summer of 2014.
