Paladins Compete At Virginia Challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. -- Junior Allie Buchalski placed seventh with a time of 10:13.28 in the 3,000m Steeplechase to lead the Furman track and field team Friday at the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Va. 

Freshman Ryan Adams finished first in his heat and 21st overall in the 800m, crossing the line in 1:51.69, while junior Laura Miller was 18th in the 10,000m with a time of 35:22.95.

The Virginia Challenge is one of the premier meets in the country this weekend, featuring more than 80 All-Americans, 80 individuals ranked among the NCAA's top 25 in their respective events, 15 NCAA Champions, and four individuals who are currently ranked No. 1 nationally in an event in which they will compete this weekend.

Additional members of the Paladin team will compete at the meet on Saturday, while others will compete at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.  Live results from both meets will be available at www.furmanpaladins.com.
