Paladins Set For Friday SoCon Semifinal At ETSU

Greenville, S.C. – The No. 3 seed Furman Paladins will travel to Johnson City, Tenn., to face the No. 2 seed ETSU Bucs in the semifinal round of the Southern Conference Men's Soccer Championship Friday at 6 p.m. at Summers-Taylor Stadium.

Furman punched its ticket to the semifinal round with a 4-2 victory over Belmont in the quarterfinals on Saturday night at Stone Stadium. Junior Emery May netted a pair of goals for the Paladins, while Danny Kierath added two assists.

The Paladins (11-6-1) hold an 8-2-6 series lead versus ETSU (9-6-1) and sport a 2-0-4 mark in the last six meetings with the Bucs. Last month, Laurence Wyke and May found the back of the net and Ben Hale recorded seven saves to propel the Paladins to a 2-0 shutout against ETSU in Johnson City, Tenn.

Friday's match will be streamed live on the SoCon Digital Network with live statistics proved through StatBroadcast. Links for both are available at FurmanPaladins.com.

The winner of Friday's match will advance to face either UNCG or Mercer in the Sunday's 1 p.m. SoCon Championship Match in Johnson City.
