Furman extended its 30-12 halftime lead to a 36-14 advantage following a basket by Kaitlin Murphy a little over four minutes into the second half.
Getting seven points from Shannon, Anderson responded with a 23-5 run over the next 11 minutes, to slice Furman's lead to 41-37 on Lauren Woods' 3-pointer the Trojans' lone 3-pointer of the game, with 4:43 to go.
